Bryce Tutorial Sites and Links
- John Garner - Bryce You Tube...
I learned a lot from John Garner's video "Learning bryce 7 pt I", where the goal is making a bishop. The video was fairly easy to follow, even for beginners. You may, however, need to stop and restart the video (as I did) to really understand some parts.
I made a couple of renders with no postwork that you will find in "Art > Art Based on Bryce Tutorials".

- ASDwebdesigns
ASDwebdesign has her own tutorials and also translates into English tutorials from a lot of other sites. Very good site!
- Cathy's Corner
Mostly tutorials written for use with Paint Shop Pro Version 7; although several were written using Version 6. Cathy states that you should be able to complete most of her tutorials with PSP8 or higher if you are using one of those versions.

Illustrator Tutorial Sites and links
- Tasty Tuts (YouTube Channel)
I discovered this YouTube channel with lots of great Illustrator (and Photoshop) tutorials. The tutorials are really well-made. They are explained at a good pace and all of the project files are included in a link below the YouTube video. I have watched the entire video series for "The Complete Beginners Guide To Adobe Illustrator"The Complete Beginners Guide To Adobe Illustrator" and plan on completing the entire project real soon. When I do, I will place a link to images of my completed project.

- Photoshop Training Channel
This is a great site for both in-depth intermediate Photoshop video tutorials and short useful tips. You can sign up for the newsletter to receive notification for when new tutorials are published. I plan on doing the following tutorials:
- Bourne Legacy Movie Poster. See my version HERE, as well as a description of what this tutorial covers.
- Halloween Jack-O-Lantern Pumpkin In Photoshop. Learn how to turn an ordinary pumpkin into a frightening Halloween jack-o-lantern. Created by taking advantage of layer styles and adjustment layers. Also shows how to use the brush tool to create realistic grass. This is a fairly long tutorial, but I really learned a lot. See my version HERE.

- PSD Box (Andrei Oprinca)

Selected tutorials:
- PSD Dude
PSD Dude has become one of my favorite sites for Photoshop tutorials. Links to the resources are always provided so that you can complete the tutorial as shown. The tutorials are challenging but well-explained. There are also a lot of freebies - actions, custom shapes, textures, and more!
The following are tutorials that I have completed or hope to complete:
- Secret Place Fantasy Photoshop Manipulation Tutorial. See my version HERE.
- Winter Season Photoshop Manipulation Tutorial. A Winter-Summer manipulation. See my version HERE.
- PSD Vault
This website has a lot of Photoshop tutorials - abstracts, basics, drawing, photo effects, text effects and web graphics. There is also a VIP member section (requires paid subscription) where you can gain access to over 200 tutorial psd files, extra goodies and exclusive Photoshop tutorials. I recently bought a subscription and so far I am glad I did, although I am not satisfied with the VIP exclusive tutorials as the format is difficult to read (pdf image-based or Word without images). The images used in the one tutorial I looked at was a Shutterstock image that requires a quite expensive subscription or per-image cost. I will be sending a message about this.
The following are tutorials that I have completed or hope to complete:
- Create Leafy Face Photo Manipulation in Photoshop. See my version HERE.
- Create "Thinker" Photo Manipulation in Photoshop. See my version HERE.
- Create Unique Abstract Photo Manipulation in Photoshop with Human, Rock and City Stocks
- Create "Mechanical Man" Photo Manipulation in Photoshop
- Create Colorful Fiery Portrait in Photoshop
- Textuts
A site devoted to - as the site name suggests - text tutorials for Photoshop. There are so many great text tutorials that I read this site like the morning newspaper. Be aware, however, that most the text effects look entirely different if you use smaller text or reduce the size of your image.
The following are tutorials that I have done or plan on doing:
- 3D Layered Blocks Text Effect in Photoshop CC 2014. See my version HERE.
- Glamorous Sparkling New Year Text Effect. See my version HERE.
- Glossy Snow Globe Text Effect. See my version HERE.
- Tutorial9
A collection of Photoshop tutorials posted by different authors. I have found several interesting tutorials, both short tutorials illustrating special effects to longer tutorials focusing on composition.
The site also has tutorials for Fireworks and Illustrator, as well as photography and web development.
The following is a list of tutorials posted on this site that I have either completed or hope to complete:
- Design a Surreal Desert Scene in Photoshop by Ciursă Ionuţ. See my version HERE.
- Create a Colorful Aged Poster With Special Lighting Effects by TheMaker.
- Fuzz/Furry Text Effect by Stephen Petrany (Looks like this can be used for text on a Christmas card.)
- Tuts+

- 10 Things You Need to Know About Masking in Photoshop - Video tutorial.

DAZ Tutorial Sites and Links
- DAZ - Fiery Genesis
A beginner tut that leads the user through all the basic steps - from choosing the figure to lighting and rendering. Right now, it is a free tutorial at www.daz3d.com.
You can see my final result at "DAZ Renders Based on Tutorials".
- Realistic Lighting i DAZ...
I learning a lot from this tutorial and plan on looking at it again in the future. It was easy to follow and he also includes links to some of his favorite eye and skin textures. There is also a link to the psd file with postwork layers and a link to his lighting settings (have not tested if you can open this in DAZ).
Take a look at , where you will find 2 renders I did based on this tutorial - one without hair (like in the tutorial) and one with hair (increased render time)
